Friday’s Shayna Baszler vs. Sarah Kaufman Bout Set For 5-Minute Rounds

According to MMAJunkie.com, Strikeforce has confirmed that Friday's Strikeforce Challenger's bout between Shayna Baszler (9-5) and Sarah Kaufman (9-0) will be set for three, five minute rounds. With the California State Athletic Commission approving five-minute rounds for the Carano vs. Cyborg bout, the Washington State Athletic Commission was quick to give its approval for Friday's bout.
But will this be the norm? Strikeforce executive Mike Afromowitz had the following to say…
"We can't yet commit to every women's fight using five-minute rounds because we're working with the athletic commissions in the various states we visit. But we hope to get to that point eventually."
