Fryne hits the big screen...
UFC and PRIDE veteran Don Frye will be appearing in movie theaters across the country this weekend, as the 43 year old fighter has a small role in director Michael Mann's new film Public Enemies. Frye plays Clarence Hunt, a Texas Ranger.
This is not Frye's first acting gig, as he has made appearances in films such as Miami Vice (also directed by Mann), Big Stan, and Godzilla: Final Wars. Frye also lent his voice for the CG animated film The Ant Bully.
A 13 year veteran of the sport, Frye was the winner of the UFC 8 tournament. He made his professional debut at that event, and set a UFC record for fastest knockout in history (8 seconds, a record that was later tied by James Irvin). He has also appeared in PRIDE and K-1, and most recently he scored a submission win this past May over Ritch Moss.
