WHO YOU GOT: Fedor vs. Rogers?
Strikeforce's biggest show to date is Saturday night on CBS Primetime! Fedor Emelianenko, regarded as the greatest fighter of the generation will make his US Primetime debut against the undefeated Brett Rogers. Will the Last Emporer keep rolling, or is it time for a new breed of fighter to take the top spot.

It's pretty hard to pick against Fedor. Rogers always has a puncher's chance, but he'll be like a fish out of water once the fight goes to the ground. Fedor by submission.

Obviously there's the token underdog pick from guys either not taking it seriously or who don't know anything about anything but WWE and UFC, but pretty clearly Fedor is the HUGE favourite unless you genuinely believe that Rogers is THE best HW in the world day bar none - which he'd have to be to beat Fedor with anything more than a lucky shot.

I feel bad for Mr. Rogers because I like him. I think Fedor's fights are unlike any other matches. I think he would have to show up unprepared and out of shape Saturday night in order to lose and that would break my heart.
p.s. Randy Couture doesn't really want to fight Fedor, does he? I like him, too.

rogers comes out with the perfect gameplan patient aggression landing super hard leg kicks and throwing fedors rythem off and odviously wins fight but judges say leg kicks are not enough to win and the crowd boos like crazy prompting shogun to sacrafice a baby goat and machida praises fedors superior performance..... fedor by whatever he wants

Absolutely cannot bet against Fedor.
I predict almost exactly the same match he had with Arlovski, except this time he'll take it by first round armbar.
I expect Rogers to land a few shots but Fedor will close the distance, take him down, take his spirit and take his arm home for the display cabinet.

I didn't realize the size difference between them. Fedor looks like a welterweight in that picture. If Fedor loses it's a real waste of money unless they expect it to make Rogers a star. But with the way the Heavyweight Division is who says he sticks around. I'll go with Rogers by KTFO.

How anyone can pick against Fedor here is beyond me...How many fighters has had a punchers chance against Fedor heh ask yourself that? Fedor always ftw until proven differently.

I have to go for Fedor. He's the complete HW package while Rogers is just a hard puncher.
Of course, a punchers chance is still a chance, but I'd go with Fedor. Then we get Fedor-Barnett and then we should get Fedor-Overeem for the belt. Right?

Fedor wins and wins decisively. I see a replay of the Tim Sylia fight happening. Rogers has never been hit with the type of power Fedor is packing. Not to mention, we are talking about a guy whose notable victories are over Arlovski and James Thompson. These are not guys who are well known for their jaws. So we really don't know what kind of power Rogers has, or how well he takes a punch. If Fedor comes at him like a commie tornado, i feel Buck will panic and get eaten alive. So yeah, I think Fedor is going to wreck this kid and do so in short order.

This is Fedor's fight to lose I think. I cannot imagine Brett beating someone that has faced such a varied spectrum of skillsets successfully. I imagine this fight playing out like Sylvia/Fedor. Although if Brett is quicker or picks his spot's better he could get a quick KO, but .

I imagine that Fedor will not be as tentative as Arlovski was, who seemed to be the perfect opponent for Brett. Fedor may use a similiar strategy as his fight with Crocop. He will probably be aggressive and efficient with his striking, but may want to eventually get this one to the ground and finish it in dramatic fashion for the national tv audience.
