for people like me that are going to be at dumb functions they really don't want to b at....they can atleast access this from there phones...

Some people might not have access to a TV but have access to a computer or otherwise have access to the internet during the event. I'm not one of those people and I'll probably watch it, but there's certainly a reason to have the live coverage.
