Notes from the Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers Press Conference

Who might Fedor fight next? Plus Strikeforce is bringing in more Heavyweights.
At the Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers Press Conference, Fabricio Werdum asked Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker to, "please make the fight against Fedor." Coker said that the fight makes sense and he's going to talk to Fedor's people about what's next for the Russian.
Other important notes from the press conference:
*Jake Shields said he's most comfortable at Welterweight and would likely move back down. Scott Coker wants to bring in Hayato "Mach" Sakuri to fight against Shields.
*Scott Coker alluded to signing "a Heavyweight or two" but wouldn't announce who. He said to expect an announcement within 7 to 10 days.
*Brett Rogers still wants to fight Alistair Overeem and seemed open to the idea of going to Japan to fight him.
*Although nothing is official, Marloes Coenen vs. Cris "Cyborg" Santos is expected to take place on January 30, 2010 in Miami, Florida.
rather see fedor vs overeem and
werdum vs rogers
although if they do that who does Fedor fight in his match? thats if Overeem wins i'm not at all interested in a rogers rematch so soon if he beat overeem

Marloes Coenen was horrible and will be killed if she fought Cyborg. How can they even pretend she is a number one contender????

Strikeforce show was better then the last 6 UFC shows. Other then Lesner the UFC is in a serious transition as they have no other break through stars... I think Stirkeforce put forth a great show and will win some fans. UFC needs a lot more the Lesner as a draw (machida isnt the answer although they tried, Silva is somewhat interesting but his fights are lackluster and he isnt really a federation star). I really think that Stirkeforce can build around mousarri and fedor. Next few months will be interesting.

Bringing Mach Sakurai who has been decapitated by The Whitemare in Dream Welterweight Semi Final Grand Prix makes ZERO SENSE.
Especially when the wiinner of the said GP who has finished Mach has just signed with SF....
WTF Marius Zaromskis is the most new fighter in mma and they fail to capitalize on his three head kick wins to book him against Shields ?
Shields vs Zaromskis at WW is the fight to book.
Till Nick Diaz comes back and we get Shields vs Diaz.
If you ask me Shields vs Zaromskis and Mayhem vs Diaz would be epic and full of win.
Overeem won't fight in the US anymore (hello roids !).
The guy will defend his US Based Organization title in...Japan only ?
WTF They can't strip the roid freak out of the strike force title and putting it on the line for Fedor vs Werdum ?
Makes zero sense really.
As for Rogers, he should try to sign with the UFC who badly needs someone as charismatic and talented as him to make the HW Division more exciting.

About the two Heavy Coker should get for a long term contract :
A/ Jeff Monson : has a great record and is an absolute beast on the ground.
He is a freak with his unique personnality and tatts and could appeal to the mainstream audience if promoted properly.
As for the other one, only Josh Barnett comes to mind...Oh wait he can fight only in Japan for the same reason as Overeem....
