Dana White Speaks On Brock Lesnar’s Health
Posted by Larry Csonka on 11.14.2009
"I am worried about it…" – Dana White
- Dana White spoke about Brock Lesnar's health status at the UFC 105 post event press conference; here are some highlights…
On Brock's Current Health: "He is not good," White said. "He is very, very sick, and he's going to be out for a while. He doesn't want to talk about it publicly, but he's in bad shape. He's not well. He's not going to be getting well anytime soon. I am worried about it," White said. "I can't really talk about it right now, but [Lesnar] is in rough shape. He's in really bad shape. I'm actually probably going to fly to go see him, and we're going to probably have to do some stuff to take care of this guy. He is not well, and he's not getting any better."
On What Dana Plans To Do To Help: "I don't know. I've got to get him to one of these really good hospitals with really good doctors to figure out what's wrong and how we get him better. [Lesnar] is in bad shape, and the reality is they don't really know all that's wrong with him."
On His Collapse In Canada: "He owns a bunch of property in Canada. He went up to Canada just to get away from his house, to go up there and just kind of chill out up there. "He [expletive] dropped. He went down, and he had to go to the hospital. They ran every test on the planet on him, and they ended up finding out something else was wrong with him."
On The Status Of The Title: "If it's a long wait, we're gong to have to do something," White said. "We're going to have to – the last thing I ever want to do is strip a guy who won a title. That's the last thing I want to do. I don't know if we'll have to do an interim or what we'll do to fix it."
Get well, Lesnar. Hopefully we'll see you back in the cage soon.

Hopefully this will teach people not to take steroids, it's not worth it.
Posted By: Fedor (Guest) on November 14, 2009 at 11:16 PM
This is a real shame. Lesnar would have taken UFC to a whole new height.

Decades of Steroids Comes Back to bite him in the ass...Personally though I believe any athlete should be allowed performance enhancing drugs yeah yeah its not really illegal to have drugs in your system unless your own probabtion your not going to jail its not the middle east
Think about it Baseball players always hitting homers, Boxers beating the hell out of each other Matt the terra Serra comepeting as a heavyweight with his midget ass
It just makes a better show for you its all I'm sayin
But for now brock needs to fight becuase I need to be entertained

well hate on lesnar or not..that really sucks =\
Posted By: Guest#7523 (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 12:19 AM
why are half of the posters either trolls or morons? in the case of the trolls, both. but learn to fucking read you tools. lesnar has never, and will never fail a roid test. period. now, unless he has some secret steroid to beat the system, then you are all either jealous, or just fucked.
Posted By: Guest#5060 (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 01:24 AM
Hate to burst your bubble but WWE didn't start mandatory steroid tests until after Lesnar left, so you can't claim he has definitely never taken any.
Posted By: Guest#9951 (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 04:11 AM
never failing a roid test and never taking roids are 2 completely different things. If you think Brock hasn't been taking steroids or HGH for the better part of the last 10 years, I got some ocean front property in kansas I'd like to sell you.
Posted By: Guest#8541 (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 04:13 AM
GET WELL SOON!!! I doubt he ever took Steroids most do admitingly plus he looks the same as he did in High School.
Posted By: ya broke homie (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 04:26 AM
wow so everyone is on the steroids bandwagon again....fucking morons.
anyways feel bad for the guy..dont want anyone to get sick that bad.

"I've got to get him to one of these really good hospitals with really good doctors"
Where can we find one of those?
Posted By: Guest#4664 (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 07:51 AM
Idle speculation on my part, but bear with me. Could it just be that Lesnar's system has worn out trying to sustain his massive physique... I have no need to claim he's gotten that big by medical means, it could very well be a natural freak of nature kind of thing - but maybe not every part of him is built to maintain that body for a natural lifespan.
Having said that, even if Brock will never fight again, I hope and pray he gets well.

Trolls are out in full force this morning. Back to the basements with you please.
Posted By: AG Awesome (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 08:16 AM
Decades??????? Are you kidding me, the guy is 32, so he started somewhere between 2 and 12? He has never failed a test, I could believe that he dabbled in them at some point, but the guy has always been huge. He has mono, how is that steroid related?
Posted By: DC (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 08:17 AM
Hey, Guest#5060
didn't lesnar get busted with HGH or something once ?
Posted By: Guest#6041 (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 09:08 AM
bet you it has something to do with his heart

thank u, ppl forget that lesnar didnt ACT in wwf in the 90's with no regulation. Even if u don't like brock this is horrible news for the mma world.
Posted By: bullfrog24 (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 10:45 AM
I love the idiots claiming steroid use is the problem. He has never failed a steroid test..EVER. Stop being a bunch of morons, and stop speculating.
Posted By: Clam (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 11:39 AM
Maybe all the weight cutting taxed his system too much. Hard to say. I hope the man recovers, at least enough to enjoy his family and life. The UFC career would be cool to, but you have to put things into perspective.
Posted By: Huhh (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 12:13 PM
Well, this may be in bad taste, but Fedor certainly doesn't fear him now.
Posted By: Vordeo (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 12:55 PM
Lesnar has been arrested for possession when he first started pro-wrestling, before he ever made it to national television, but he hasn't failed a test that any of us know about
Posted By: K. Bett (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 01:01 PM
Who cares if Lesnar used steroids or not? A man could be dying here. At the very least, he's in a situation that none of us would want to be in and would certainly not appreciate others laughing about.
My prayers are with the husband and father and frankly, damned fine entertainer and warrior, regardless if his illness is the result of something other than nature. Here's hoping he beats this thing.
Posted By: slw4836 (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 01:36 PM
Seriously people, who gives a fuck if he did 'roids or not?! The man's LIFE is on the line here... personally I think that is much more important then whether or not he did steroids!
Hope Brock gets well. And to those arguing about his 'roid use, FUCK OFF until Brock gets better
Posted By: Guest#5908 (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 01:50 PM
HGH is or was legal, though, so if Brock was taking that at some point, it wouldn't have been a criminal offence, BUT, I'd be massively surprised if it wasn't just as dangerous as steroids, if not more so.
Human Growth Hormones... don't mess with that stuff.
But who really knows what's wrong with Brock, but man, it was sudden.
Get well soon.
Posted By: Jon (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 02:20 PM
Brock's been asked if he's ever done steroids.
He said that he has never failed a drug test.
Smart answer on his part. Didn't admit to using them, but he didn't deny using them.
Posted By: Guest1001 (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 03:20 PM
idiots........do you think he would have been able to become ncaa wrestling champion using steroids.....they test....thats the step just before going olimpic......get well soon lesnar......
Posted By: Guest#2833 (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 03:23 PM
Whatever the issue is here, it's always sad to here of someone sufferinG from poor health.
Hope Lesnar makes a speedy recovery for the sake of himself, his family and those who love him.
Posted By: Jack Conner (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 03:29 PM
He's not going to be getting well anytime soon. I am worried about it," White said
there goes all the PPV buys and money this guy brought if he never fights again. Dana is worried about the Profit Loss.
Posted By: CJ (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 03:45 PM
I love the morons on here who think that not being caught taking steroids means you are perfectly clean. There are thousands of athletes in all venues of sport who take illegal banned substances and get away with it. There are masking agents to cover up. There are half-lifes to all steroids to which you can take them at certain times so that there is nothing to detect by the time they actually test you. Lesnar has taken all kinds of stuff.

This sounds like the beginning of an episode of House.

remember when Brock got in that motorcycle crash? He's a tough hombre he will pull thru!
Posted By: skull first (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 05:35 PM
Get well soon, Brock. Whatever it is, I hope you can beat it, even if you can't fight/compete again, I hope you can still enjoy your family and the rest of your life.

Posted By: Jonberg (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 06:30 PM
are you all morons? look at brocks body! he isnt cut to shreds, he isnt on roids, he is just a big guy, he would have much more definition if he was on roids

Umm mono??? Sounds a little more serious than that don't you think? And have you ever heard of a masking agent? It's used to cover illegal performancing enhancing drug uses. Scott Steiner brags he never failed a drug test in WCW or WWE. You gonnna look at him and tell me he's not on something? Use common sense. Passing a test doesn't mean Brock doesn't use.

The flu is pretty much wide spread through out the whole country right now. I know some people who are usually work through a cold or whatever and this flu has them knocked on their asses (practically bed ridden). I hope he gets well and goes and finds all the people who post on this website who say negative things about him, especially the ones who say negative things about him with horrible grammer, beat the living snot out of them then eat them for lunch. They same way he ate Frank Mir for dinner, made fun of Bud Light and got on top of his wife, all in one night!

Hahahaha that's supposed to be witty because there's no oceans in Kansas. Funny shit, bro. You should do stand-up and rattle off some more killers. You'd be the next Carrot Top.

Awesome.
I'm betting Brock has either an enlarged heart (with or without collapsed chamber) or Hep C (where'd you get those tats, B). Either way it's a damn shame.
But, hey, better to burn out than fade away. Right?
Posted By: Trueindee (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 09:17 PM
WOW, Dana sure has a big heart and a lot of concern for his fighter when it's his meal ticket and his heavyweight division no longer exists. Other fighters have had problems both mental and physical and they got cast aside, and not wanting to strip a guy of a title he won. man this guy can sell a line. Get better Brock, but don't trust this guy

Wait, Brock was in Canada, That makes it offical, Hey Congress Dana White says thier health care system is bad, nuff proof for me. Kill the Bill
Posted By: Guest (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 09:28 PM
I believe that Lesnar has taken roids before, when he was in pro wrestling.
I do not think that is what is causing his health problems now.
Posted By: Guest#5296 (Guest) on November 15, 2009 at 10:39 PM
I'm not going to suggest either way but WWE was never too tough on roids takers until the Benoit tragedy who you know was found with quite a bit of it.

Well, Guest#5060. Before calling people morons, because they acuse him of steroid abuse, think about this: Marion Jones also didn't test positive for steroids, but she admitted it. (just an example, many many more). Never being caught is not the same as not using. And i'm not a fan of Lesnar, but hope he will get well. First get well, then worry about fighting.

If you think all olympic Athletes are clean then you are the moron ! No one is built naturally like that wake up morons ! It's like saying strongest man competition are clean seriously people say americans are dumb and you continuously prove they are right !
