Dana White Talks Dan Henderson’s UFC Departure

"Dan is in I-don't-want-to-make-a-deal mode…" – Dana White
Dana White was recently on MMAJunkie.com Radio and discussed the departure of Dan Henderson, here are the highlights…
On Henderson's Stance: "Dan is in I-don't-want-to-make-a-deal mode. There are some deals in which you go in and negotiate and make a deal. You know you want to make a deal. ... Dan Henderson knows he does not want to make a deal."
On What Henderson Wants: "The [expletive] that Dan came in and said in my office and what he wants, it's unrealistic, and he knows it," White said. "And it's basically based off of, 'I heard this guy is making this, and I heard this guy made (this much).' Basically, what everybody gets pissed off about is Tito. 'Oh, I heard Tito is making all this money, and Tito is this and that.' And it's because Tito likes to go out there and stay stuff like that or somebody in his camp did. That's how [expletive] gets started. "
Will He Ever Come Back?: "Doors are never closed," he said. "I'm in the fight business. We put on fights. Doors never close. Never say never. Dan could call me tonight. Fedor could call on three-way with him. We could sign them both up tonight if they want to call."
Get the fuck outta here! When Fedor was with Affliction they wanted to do A superfight between Fedor and Brock. M1 was gonna pay Fedor to Brock and you didnt do that.

I hate like hell to see hendo leave ufc. that being said.... i want to see him beat up Mousasi, that will be a hell of a fight.

If his demands were unrealistic to UFC how could strikeforce sign him unless it was out of spite? Id like to see him fight mousasi but i think cooler heads will prevail and Hendo will be back.

Dana will not let Hendo walk. He's too big of a name to just let him go to another promotion. A deal will get done

Honestly though, if Tito is getting paid a ton, why? The only top guy I saw him beating at 205 was Forrest, and he didn't come as close as some people think he did.

I hope Hendo has a change of heart and signs with Affliction IF he won't sign with UFC, because guys like Shields and Mousasi would be great fights, hell, if Mayhem can get a run together, that would be sweet too.
Really, who is there left for him to fight in UFC anyway? Anderson will kick his ass. Anderson has the most varied striking in the UFC, Dan Henderson has ONE punch.

Shame Hendo & Zuffa couldn't reach a deal, the guy's an f'n legend.
I would've liked to see him at 205, maybe against Randy or dropping the "Flying Hendo Hammer" on Tito's huge dome like he did to Bisping.
Hendo/Wand III at 185 would be a good brawl as well but I'll watch him in Strikeforce, Mousasi should be a good fight.

If someone made a list of most unqualified company presidents, Dana White would top the list. I don't know any corporation or professional firm that would hire this guy as a spokesperson even, much less the company president.
Maybe fighters are all just really ghetto and his personality is needed for the fight game though.

I would love to see Hendo-Tito. Hendo will obviously still fight 205, but if Tito could cut that fight would be KILLER at 185. Maybe a 20 lbs lighter Tito would be fast again.
But Dana needs to stop talking to the press about stuff like this. It makes the organization look amateur-hour.

Dan Henderson is one of the best light heavyweight and middle weight fighters. Why he should not get the same money like TITO. Dan would TKO and Rape Ortiz in the first round !!!!

Sadly I think it comes down to Hendo's PPV not drawing the numbers that Tito's do. If your fighter that can draw the big crowds you'll get a better deal, unless your Anderson Silva then you get the big deal anyway.

Hendo will own Gegard Mousassi
