Gegard Mousasi Can Only Fight On Strikeforce Shows That Feature Fedor Emelianenko

Thanks M-1 Global…
For those of you wanting to see Dan Henderson face off with Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Gegard Mousasi, you'll have to wait for Fedor Emelianenko to return to Strikeforce for that to happen. Bloodyelbow.com spoke with Mousasi, who stated that his contract says he can only compete on the same Strikeforce shows that feature Fedor Emelianenko. As far as the match with Henderson, Mousasi stated the following…
"That would be an exciting fight for the fans, For me, it's just another fight. But I understand that a win over a caliber fighter like Dan Henderson is very interesting."
Mousasi will next fight at the Dynamite!! show on New Year's Eve in Japan in a K-1 rules bout.
Mousasi is my second favorite fighter and I'm a huge fan of Fedor, but fuck you M-1 Global. Fuck you very much.

This just proves what idiots M-1 Global are. Yes, tie your two most marketable stars together instead of building each to their own draws.
Why anyone would do business with these idiot gangster wannabes is beyond me.

HaHa Man what was Dana thinking when he passed on working with these fantastic buisness men.

Does feature mean that Fedor has to fight? If not just parade him to the middle of the ring, give him a cheque and let Mousasi fight.

M1 Global = The eternal facepalm of MMA.
Does this mean Mousasi can only fight in Dream when Fedor is on the card too?
Ah well, the LHW title will suffer the same fate as the HW title, never going to be defended.
Hell, why don't they give Finkelstein the middleweight title too?

I wonder if Gegard will be able to eat unless if the meal is co-promoted by M-1 Global and if Fedor is eating after?

So if Fedor gets seriously injured, Mousasi can't fight for Strikeforce until he's back?! How is that even good for M-1 Global? Maybe Strikeforce put that clause so that M-1 doesn't simply give them Fedor and take half the proceeds. If they make M-1 cough up BOTH their top guys and market the promotion in Russia and Europe, then it would be more worthwhile.
What sense would it make for Strikeforce to co-promote Fedor shows AND Mousasi shows and give away half the bread when they can insist both fighters appear on the same co-promoted show?

why on earth would Mousasi or strikeforce sign such a ridiculous contract

I would not want to be Fedor's food taster or car-starter.

HAHA where are all the people saying Dana should have negotiated with M-1 just for Fedor???? Yeah I can see it now once a year you can have a title fight and it has to have Fedor in it or at ringside when he is not tied up promoting M-1

Gegard Mousasi and his managers are smart for making their contract the way they did. If Gegard Mousasi fights when Fedor does, he gets much more exposure than he would on any other event. Mousasi is a young fighter and his team is marketing him in a smart way..
