- Rudy Valentino, the longtime trainer of BJ Penn was on SI.com's Gross Pointe Blank, and basically accused Georges St. Pierre of steroid use when discussing BJ Penn's possible return to the welterweight ranks…
"I think it's because of his so-called steroid use, and all of that, that B.J. felt it was an unfair fight. Just the whole thing about not being fair, and fighting fair, you know. That's what B.J. wants to get off of his back; The greasing stuff, the steroids, and all of that. We heard from certain people that used to train with him, telling us what he did in the past. That's why, we had a heads up on that. When you cycle steroids, you're not going to test positive. You can cycle it right up to the time of the fight and not test positive on that. That's what we suspected he did in this fight."

This guy needs to get a clue. St. Pierre owned Penn for the entire fight before BJ's corner (mercifully) stopped it. It wasn't even close.

Does BJ Penn really thinks that GSP takes steroids and "the greasing situation" is really the cause of both his losses. BJ Penn may be a great MMA Fighter, he is the greatest of all time in the LW division for sure, but he is one of the most classless fighter ever. He'll never take blame for his losses, he'll only praise a fighter's worth or significance once he beat them. But once he is beat, he cries and whines about how he did this and that to win. BJ Penn might be a great fighter, but he is heading down the path of where his ego and his camp feeding him more ego will be his demise. Just shut up and fight. Why do people who needs their egos stroke thinks negative press is good press. We have actors and actresses for that. We don't need fighters like that.

BJs trainer is a complete moron...95 % of steroids stay in your sytem for a minimum of 1 month to 3 months and certain ones up to 6 months. Please stop the excuses BJ and take it like a fucking man.

just listened to the interview. the guy asked rudy why bj didn't like gsp. rudy just said why he thought bj didn't like gsp. it was about 30 secs out of a 4 or 5 min conversation. they talked about coscheck at 170 and the rest of the 155 contenders

Actually it was BJ was the first one to accuse GSP of steroid use. He said that in the weeks leading up to his fight with Kenny Florian.

it's really funny listening to Penn and his camp still crying about GSP. Has BJ even watched that last fight? GSP took him down at will, passed his guard like it was a white belts and beat the snot out of him for basically 20 min, until he was so beat up and exhausted that is corner threw in the towel. In his heart does he actually feel he can beat GSP after receiving the most lopsided beatdown of his career. And that interview was terrible on the part of Gross. He should have asked Rudy Valentino, what he expects to be any diffrent in regards to the GSP steroid accusation?? He's saying BJ wants a fair fight, and GSP is using roids, well that would mean he would still be using roids for a 3rd fight, unless he was caught or stopped taking them. So what, you want to put Penn on Roids, to even the playing field or something there Rudy, i mean what are you even talking about? I don't get it..
