Miguel Torres vs. Takeya Mizugaki. Never have I ever seen 5 rounds fought at that frantic of a pace with that much action at that high a skill level. I don't know if I ever will again.

For me it's between Shogun vs Machida and Penn vs Sanchez. Shogun was supposed to get killed but instead he fought on hell of a fight, and it gives us the rematch. Sanchez comes in with his mean/scary face again and BJ beat the shit out of him for the entire fight. It was awesome!! I can't stand Sanchez, and seeing his after fight pictures filled me with holiday cheer.

Diaz/Smith. What did he land? 180 strikes or something? Otherwise, I think Couture/Nogueria actually had the most action, near submissions, and edge-of-your-seat anticipation than any other match. Everyone was just waiting for one of these guys to make that come-from-behind victory snatch

I'm going out on a limb here and saying that Mir-Lesnar 2 was the FOTY for its historical significance. This fight changes MMA. This fight, both before and after, spawned one of the greatest rivalries in MMA. The absolute beating that Brock laid on Mir is legendary. Mir, having enough pride for 10 heavyweights, seems to have learned from his mistakes and has worked harder than ever before in his career to get back to fighting Brock again. Mir has always been the talented phenom without any work ethic. Brock is the phenom with work ethic. Brock woke Mir up, slapped his ass around, and then made him his bitch. Mir now has the kind of hatred and rage for Brock that either makes or breaks a man. So far it seems he's made himself a far better fighter with his domination of a very tough Cheick Kongo. If he continues on with this dominance to get back to Brock then you can honestly make the argument that this is one of the most influential fights ever.

Torres/Mizgaki gets my vote but honorable mentions to Henderson/Cerrone and Melendez/Thompson II, all great fights but Torres Mizagaki just had that extra something special.

1.Ben Henderson vs Cerrone-Just a fanatstic match, from start to finish it was brilliant.
I think Kampmann vs Condit is overlooked as well, excellent match that showed all MMA skills.

Frankie Edgar vs. Sean Sherk. Edgar put on a clinic. A close second would be any BJ Penn fight. He's on another planet right now, and made both Florian and Sanchez look like amateur punks.

I have to go with Nog/Couture or Hiroyuki Takaya vs Bibiano Frenandes from the DREAM Featherweight tourney finals

Brown/Faber 2 was hindered by Faber breaking both of his hands and being forced to resort to open hand strikes and elbows for the final round. Guida Sachez all the way.
