wasnt the serra/trigg fight pretty much to determine who stays on the roster?? yet serra still pulled in more cash than one of the main eventers by over double

Paulo Thiago's 15/15 deal must be new. He was making terrible money before. They neglect to mention Randy gets PPV points, that's the sweetest plum!

its pretty sad that Urijah is with the exception of Randy more popular than all these guys by miles and all these guys gets a bigger pay day than him.

...and this was also only Serra's 3rd fight since winning the WW gold.

Fight contracts aren't on a per-fight basis... they're made months/ years in advance.

Isn't Serra still under that Ultimate Fighter winner contract? That would explain his payday

Posted By: K. Bett (Guest)  on February 08, 2010 at 04:34 AM

Didnt the winner of serras season "only" get a title shot and not a contract? Besides, the six-figure thing isnt per fight, so like someone else succested, he probably negotiated contracts right after his title-win and is still on that contract.
