Urijah Faber Talks Weigh Class Changes, Possible Rematch With Tyson Griffin and Fighting BJ Penn

Urijah will fight anyone at any weight apparently…
- Urijah Faber recently spoke with MMAJunkie.com, here are the highlights…
On A Possible Rematch With Tyson Griffin: "I'll be around here for a while, and I'd love to get that fight again. I'll probably go down to 135 (pounds) [then] go up to 155," he said. "I don't want to fight any of my buddies at [135 pounds]. I'll just fight people I don't like, and fights the fans want to see."
Why Is He Willing To Change Weight?: "(It's the) same with going up in weight. I'm not trying to mow through the weight class; I'm trying to fight superfights that fans want to see. At this point for me, I've had 26 fights, and I just want to do big, exciting fights. Go up? Go down? It's all good."
On His Comfort Level: "I wrestled in college at 113 pounds for five years," he said. "I know I could go to [135 pounds] if I wanted, but I've also been trying to put on weight for the last six years, so I feel most comfortable at [145]. I would feel really comfortable at [155], but I would be at a disadvantage size-wise with my body structure and everything, and I'd be just about right at [135]."
On Fighting BJ Penn: "I've thought about that," Faber said. "B.J. and I went on a USO tour together, and we're buddies, and we've trained together, but we're in the fight game to find out who's the man. I'm sure B.J. wouldn't have a problem fighting me, and I don't have a problem fighting him. We'll be buddies later."
See, why can't Silva and Machida do the same thing? Be friends before and after the fight, but dammit, don't rob the fans.
For the record, Baby J would probably fill Faber.

Think he meant kill, i least i hope thats what he meant. Urijah was a really exciting fighter back when he looked more surfer, lately he's not as innovative or explosive, but he's still entertaining. Its good to see someone who's out there for the fans and not handpicking opponents he can beat. Him thinking about BJ proves that because BJ would own him.
