Paulo Filho Explains Why He Missed Bitetti Combat MMA 6

Paulo not happy with his pay.

In an interview with Tatame, Paulo Filho explained that he no showed last nights Bitetti Combat MMA 6 event due to a disagreement in money. Filho was scheduled to fight in the main event against Yuki Sasaki.

"We didn't have a financial agreement. The purse was too low comparing from what I'm used to receiving and it's bad for the fighter's career. I'm not worried with fighting in Brazil anymore. I like the event, Amaury is my friend, but this event doesn't pay what I deserve ... If someone pays what I deserve, It'll be my pleasure to beat him up"

Filho denied that he has any problems with drugs or medicines saying, "(The media) said I'm having problems with drugs and medicines … You can test me and you'll see … I'm great."

Dude's a piece of shite, from top to bottom. First he gets a gift win over Sonnen in their first fight, then he postpones the rematch repeatedly because of drug issues, then he screws Sonnen out of rightfully becoming the last WEC Middleweight Champion by showing up fat and unmotivated, and now he's pulling this crap?

Newsflash - what you did in PRIDE doesn't matter anymore, so I'd take the fights you can actually get, because I don't think anyone's beating down your door (and that's saying something when Strikeforce's middleweight division is all of three fighters).
