See what he has to say…
- Roger Huerta discussed signing with Bellator today; here are the highlights…
On Choosing Bellator: "I've fought my whole life to get to where I am today, and this is a point where I honestly believe this is like a second chance for me."
On Fighting In The Tournament: "I've got to give the fighters my best because anything can happen in this tournament, anything can happen in the sport of mixed martial arts," said Huerta, who makes his promotional debut April 8 at Bellator 13 against an opponent to be named later this week. "It has my attention 100 percent."
On Being Unhappy With The UFC: "It was the career change at the time, where I wanted to pursue something else, which was acting," he said. "It's something that fulfills me, and I was really intrigued by it at that moment."
On The Competition in The Tournament: "Just because they're unknown doesn't mean that they're not good," he said. "They're going to be good. These are young, hungry fighters, and it just helps the sport grow. I want the best of out of them, and they're going to get the best out of me. Going through this mountain in this tournament, you're going to see me fight three times," Huerta said. "I guarantee that. You will see that fight against Eddie, and that's going to be awesome, too."

If it was simply a change in career, he wouldn't have had issues with the UFC.
They would have simply held his contract while he went on to pursue his acting/ modeling careers- and welcomed him back when they failed. Instead, he made a much bigger thing out of it and tried to get out of his fighting contract so he could act.... something that wasn't needed.
The UFC tried pushing him to the top... wanted him to be the spokesperson to bring them into new markets, but instead of thanking them, he spit in their face so he could do other things - how much acting he's done since Tekken (and his splits and time off from the UFC).
I hope he enjoys the severe pay cut and fighting 3rd level fighters.

This guy can be a great fighter when his head is into it. Hopefully he's put acting behind him for good and gets serious about fighting again and finds his way back to UFC. This dude gets his shit straight he could take down Penn in the future.
