Possible preliminary bout for Lashley...
According to Strikeforce sources, Bobby Lashley (5-0 MMA, 1-0 SF) is likely to earn a spot on the upcoming Strikeforce: Nashville card on April 17.
Three title fights are booked for the event, which will be televised on CBS, which would suggest that Lashley's fight would be a preliminary bout. Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker said recently that one preliminary bout would be taped for possible airing in case the title fights went short, and the Lashley bout is expected to be that bout.

Lashley's status as a 'draw' is overstated. He wasn't even that popular in the WWE.

he needs to be on main card not prelim. that is just bad promoting.

Overstated for him to be a main eventer in MMA now? I'd agree, but I do think it's a waste to put in him in a prelim. Some things to keep in mind regarding his name value:
1) He was involved in the biggest angle of the highest selling Wrestlemania of all-time (Vince vs Trump head shaving).
2) He has a distinguished Amateur Background (alhtough purest continue to focus on his SE background rather than his AW background, which is ridiculous)
3) He is currently undefeated in MMA.
4) He is a heavyweight. Heavyweight fights have typically been the most of popular fights in both MMA and Boxing.
5) He has a great look and is highly marketable, as long as he can pass a drug test, which he seems to have no problems doing.
Again, I'm not saying he deserves to headline the event, but I do think it's a waste for him to not be on screen if he is going to fight that night. He can only help the ratings.
