-Opening Video
-Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan are the hosts. Rogan talks about the hype of Jon Jones and the Heavyweight clash between Santos and Gonzaga.
Middleweight Fight: Alessio Sakara (14-7) vs. James Irvin (14-5)
-Sakara is coming off a split decision victory over Thales Leites at UFC 101. Irvin is coming off a KO loss to Anderson Silva at Fight Night 14. Irvin hasn't fought since July 2008 due to a knee injury. This is Irvin's debut at Middleweight.
-Josh Rosenthal is the referee.
Round One: Good combo by Sakara that landed. Right hand by Irvin drops Sakara as he threw a leg kick. Sakara right back up. Counter left by Irvin. Spinning backfist by Sakara but most blocked. Good combo by Sakara finished with a leg kick. Sakara scoring with the one-two. Good inside leg kick by Irvin. Jabs to the body by Sakara. Good left hook by Sakara. Big right hand by Sakara. Superman punch by Irvin misses. Another jab to the body. Left hand by Sakara and Irvin winces like he got poked in the eye. Sakara pounces on him. The ref jumps in.
-There is some confusion as to whether he stopped it or is giving Irvin a break. After a couple of moments it appears that Irvin is getting a break. On the replay it's clear that Sakara's knuckle caught Irvin in the eye and not his fingers. The doctor comes in and Irvin says, "I can't open my fucking eye." After some time Irvin gets his eye open.
-The ref now informs the commission that he's stopping the fight and it's a TKO victory for Sakara. It seems that Rosenthal saw the replay, saw it was a punch, and made the call to stop the fight.
Official Decision: Alessio Sakara by TKO at 3:01 in Round One
-No interview with Sakara.
-Joe Rogan interviews Shane Carwin. Carwin says he was devastated when he found out he wasn't fighting Lesnar. He says that Mir is a legend and that the fight will be fireworks. He says none of his fights will ever go the distance.
Heavyweight Fight: Cheick Kongo (14-6) vs. Paul Buentello (27-11)
-Kongo is coming off a submission loss to Frank Mir at UFC 107. Buentello is coming off a majority decision loss to Stefan Struve at UFC 107.
-Herb Dean is the referee.
Round One: Kongo trying work the jab. Buentello just misses with the overhand right. Quick flurry by Buentello and Kongo clinches. Kongo pushes Buentello against the cage and tries to get the takedown. Kongo pulls his hips from under him and gets him down. Buentello gets seated against the cage. Kongo in half guard. Buentello gets to a knee and then gets to his feet. Kongo dumps him right back down. Buentello trying to wall walk back up but he's eating some short right hands. Kongo grabs a front face lock on Buentello as he tries to stand. Body shots by Kongo as Buentello has one knee on the ground. Buentello gets to his feet and shrugs Kongo away as he tries for another takedown but Buentello grabs his pinky as he pulls away. A quick break in the action as the doctor checks the pinky of Buentello. The pinky looks dislocated but Buentello pops it back in and is READY TO FIGHT ON! Back on the feet. Quick exchange and Kongo lands a good right before shooting in and getting the takedown. Kongo in half guard as Buentello is against the cage. Knee to the body by Kongo as Buentello tries to get up. The ref stands them up. Buentello slips coming in and Kongo pounces on him. A couple of right hands by Kongo as the round ends.
10-9 Kongo. The takedowns easily gave him the round.
Round Two: Leg kicks by Kongo. Then he goes high but Buentello blocks it. Right hand by Buentello and Kongo fires back with a right of his own. Big exchange by both men and Kongo ducks under and gets the takedown. Buentello turtles up on the ground as Kongo pounds on him with the left hand. The ref warns Kongo for hitting the back of the head. Buentello covering but not moving. Kongo with knees to the body as Buentello is turtled. Kongo catches him with a knee to the head but Buentello was clearly down. The ref jumps in and allows Buentello a chance to recover. Buentello takes the time he's given but he's ready to fight on. Kongo has been docked one point for the illegal knee. Kongo presses forward and gets a big takedown. Buentello turns into him and is in turtle position. Kongo stands and lands some big knees to the body. Buentello gets up but Kongo puts him right back down. Kongo in sprawl position punching the side of the head of Buentello. Buentello gets to his feet with Kongo still having him in a headlock. Knees to the head by Kongo. Buentello puts his hand down and eats another knee to the head. The ref stops it for a second but says that Buentello was playing the game. Big combo by Kongo. Buentello fires back. Kongo with another takedown. Kongo with side control on the back. Short punches by Kongo. The ref stands them up. Buentello is very gassed. Uppercut by Buentello as Kongo ducks under. Kongo presses Buentello against the fence. Knees to the legs by Kongo. The round ends.
9-9. Kongo clearly won the round but was docked the point.
Round Three: Kongo presses forward and evades the uppercut. Takedown by Kongo. He has side control on the back again. Buentello turns into him and gets half guard. Short elbows to the thigh by Kongo. Buentello rolls and gives up his back again. Elbows to the thigh of Kongo. BUENTELLO TAPS OUT!
Official Decision: Cheick Kongo by Submission (Strikes) at 1:16 in Round Three
-No interview with Kongo.
-UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre joins the broadcast via satellite. GSP says Dan Hardy is the toughest fight of his career but he's better than he's ever been. He says that he'll dictate the pace to the fight.
Heavyweight Fight: Gabriel Gonzaga (11-4) vs. Junior dos Santos (10-1)
-Gonzaga is coming off a TKO victory over Chris Tuscherer at UFC 102. Santos is coming off a TKO victory over Gilbert Yvel at UFC 109. This fight was scheduled for UFC 109 but Gonzaga pulled out due to a staph infection.
-Josh Rosenthal is the referee.
Slow start to the round. Body shot by Santos. Inside leg kick by Gonzaga. Santos throws a leg kick and Gonzaga gets the takedown. Gonzaga moves to the back but Santos gets to his feet and spins out. Back on the feet. Jab to the body by Santos. Santos really looking for the body shots. Gonzaga swings high with the head kick. Santos throws a head kick but it's blocked. Leg kick by Gonzaga. Right hand by Santos as Gonzaga throws a leg kick. Santos really trying to time the leg kick. Left hook by Santos drops Gonzaga. Santos pounces on him. Santos standing over him and throwing down bombs. GONZAGA IS OUT!
Official Decision: Junior dos Santos by KO at 3:53 in Round One
-Santos says he's here to give good knockouts. He thanks his coaches and the crowd and wants to fight the best.
Welterweight Fight (Prelim): John Howard vs. Daniel Roberts
Round One: Roberts comes out southpaw. Leg kick by Howard. Roberts gets the takedown. Howard pushes Roberts away and scrambles up. Roberts tries to grab a guillotine. He switches to a kimura and takesdown Howard off it. Roberts in half guard, postured up, and throwing down. Good ground and pound by Roberts. Howard tries to scramble up and Roberts tries to grab a guillotine again. Howard grabs a leg and gets a HUGE SLAM TAKEDOWN! Howard in guard. Roberts working the rubber guard. Roberts looking for an omoplata but Howard gets his arm free. Howard standing over Roberts. Diving punch by Howard and ROBERTS IS OUT COLD! A couple extra punches by Howard as the ref pulls him away.
Official Decision: John Howard by KO at 2:01 in Round One
-Howard says that his left hand has some power.
-Goldberg and Rogan talk about the main event. Rogan says that Vera was Jones a few years ago with all the hype.
Light Heavyweight Fight (Main Event): Jon Jones (9-1) vs. Brandon Vera (11-4)
-Jones is coming off a DQ loss to Matt Hamill at the Ultimate Fighter Finale 10. Vera is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Randy Couture at UFC 105.
-Herb Dean is the referee.
Round One: Jones clinches and gets the takedown. Jones in guard. Vera pushes Jones away and gets to his feet. They clinch again. Knee to the body by Jones. Takedown by Jones and he's in guard. Good elbow by Jones. Vera lands an upkick but Jones clearly had a knee on the ground. Brandon Vera is docked one point. The ref puts them back in the same position as Jones is ready to fight on. Vera with another upkick but it catches the shoulder. Vera controlling the posture of Jones. Big elbow by Jones and Vera is hurt. Vera turns and turtles up. Jones continues to punch him and the REF STOPS IT!
-On the replay it shows that the point of the elbow caught Vera right in the eye.
Official Decision: Jon Jones by TKO at 3:19 in Round One
-Jones says he tries not to pay attention to the hype but he knows he shouldn't waste his potential.
Kongo scared of Paul ! Bitch keeps taking him to the ground ! Kongo sucks and is a boring fighter !

Fucking terrible night of fights so far, they need to cut back on cards and get back to QUALITY over QUANTITY, Buantello and Irvin dont even belong in the UFC at this point

12-6 elbows, punches to the back of the head, kneeing a downed opponent, Kongo can't win a fight without cheating can he?? Probably would've hit the nut-shot as well if he had a chance, dirty French bastard!

He stinks !! How many loses does this guy have to get to get canned! I know Rogan has lover buts for him but this is ridiculous! He lost 5 times out of his last 8 fights ! All to name opponents except for Jones !
