He just bought his house with his Knockout of the Night bonus...
Brazilian featherweight Marcos Vinicius spoke with MMAJunkie about his days as a delivery boy and how he swore to himself that he would never go back to that job. Here are some highlights:
His promise to himself: "Before I came to the UFC, I made an oath that I was never going to work on a motorbike again so that I didn't lose the opportunity to get into the largest event in the world. If I continued working on a motorbike, I could have fallen down and lost this opportunity."
Reflecting on winning the $65,000 Knockout of the Night bonus at UFC 147: "I made an oath when I left my home to go there, to Belo Horizonte, to fight. I went there to do my job, and God blessed me. I even got the award, which I never thought I would. I have to tell you, I just bought my home with that bonus."
