Bowling is looking for a stand-up war...
At Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman, welterweight fighter Roger Bowling (12-2, MMA; 4-2, SF) will be facing off against Tarec Saffiedine (12-3, MMA; 2-1, SF). In a recent interview with MMAjunkie Radio, Bowling talked about his training and preparations for the upcoming fight:
On his weightlifting regiment: "I focused less on powerlifting and more on conditioning. I think it will really show out there with my conditioning."
On giving fans a stand-up battle: "It's hard to get away from that. I like giving the fans what they like to see."
His game plan for Saffiedine: "We've got a solid game plan for him. I feel like I can fight with him anywhere. I think I fight with him off my back, I think I can fight with him on his back, and I think I can stand with him. I'm going to go out there and feel it out. My hand will definitely be raised at the end," he said.
