Find out who Bautista's new opponent will be...
Dave Bautista's originally scheduled opponent for his MMA debut, Rashid Evans, has been forced to pull out of the fight due to an arrest and no longer being available to make the fight this weekend. However, Bautista will still make his MMA debut on October 6 on Classic Entertainment & Sports' Real Pain PPV on DirecTV, and he will now be facing a newly scheduled opponent.
Bautista on Friday night will now be facing 40-year-old MMA veteran, Vince Lucero (22-22-1, MMA). Lucero has over 42 professional fights with 11 knockout wins and 8 wins by submission. He's previously faced such fighters as Tim Sylvia, Justin Eilers, and Roy Nelson (all losses).
Classic Sports & Entertainment's Real Pain PPV will be going down on October 6 at 8PM ET/5PM PT at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The fight will be available for $29.95 on DirecTV pay-per-view, and there will also be a free pre-show scheduled at 7PM ET. Cesar Gracie is scheduled as the play by play announcer for the event. The fight card will feature 14 MMA bouts.
Jimmy Burchfield's Classic Entertainment & Sports is presenting the event in association with June Entertainment and 4zero1 Entertainment Group. The fight will also be available on live stream on BautistaMMA.com for $29.95.
