According to mmajunkie.com, UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz will get behind the wheel of a race car as the honorary pace car driver for an upcoming NASCAR event in his home state of Arizona. On November 11th, Cruz will take the wheel at Phoenix International Raceway for the AdvoCare 500, part of NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series. Cruz gets the honor for the second time this season. In March, he was the honorary pace car driver before the Subway Fresh Fit 500. Cruz had the following to say about the honor…
"I'm excited to be making my return to PIR and the Advocare 500 NASCAR race. My first experience in the pace car was one of the coolest and most unique opportunities I have ever had. To feel even a sliver of the adrenaline that these drivers experience was so awesome and I can't wait to do it again."
