Frankie Edgar Joins Cast of Jersey Shore for "Restore the Shore" Benefit

Former UFC lightweight champion and Toms River, New Jersey native Frankie Edgar has confirmed he will participate in the "Restore the Shore" fundraiser set for November 15. According to Ariel Helwani's "The MMA Hour", Edgar said, "They asked me and I said, 'Whatever I can do to help, I'm there.'"
The TV special will air on MTV next Thursday evening at 11 p.m., eastern and will seek donations to help in the effort to rebuild the boardwalk in Seaside Heights, New Jersey and aid individuals and businesses affected by Hurricane Sandy.
Edgar is currently preparing for his next fight on February 2, 2013 when he will challenge featherweight champion Jose Aldo at UFC 156.
