- Erick Silva recently spoke about his next UFC fight and possible rematch with Jon Fitch. Here are the highlights…
On His Next Fight: "I have no idea who my opponent will be; I don't choose them. I expect to know who it is in a few weeks and then to start working even harder. But I believe at some point of my career I'll have the rematch against Fitch."
On Looking to Fight at UFC 156: "I had a good time with my family right after the fight, but unlikely my last fights, I resumed my work quickly," Silva said. "I asked for my manager to fight as soon as possible, so I can keep my last camp's rhythm. I was pleased to fight in such a good lineup in Brazil, and now I look forward to fight at UFC 156."
On a Rematch With Jon Fitch: "It would be an honor for me to fight again against such a high-leveled guy," Silva said. "For now, I expect to build a good winning streak and secure my spot at the top welterweight fighters."
