Bruce Buffer To Introduce Drivers At Nascar Race
Posted by Joseph Lee on 11.14.2012

MMA Junkie reports that Bruce Buffer will provide driver introductions at the Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Ford EcoBoost 400 race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

NASCAR and UFC officials announced the guest appearance, which is a week after UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz drove the pace car at a NASCAR event in Phoenix.

Homestead-Miami Speedway President Matthew Becherer said: "In light of events this past weekend, we think it's appropriate to bring Bruce in to join us to ramp up the enthusiasm and passion even more."

At the AdvoCare 500 this past Sunday at the Phoenix International Raceway, Jeff Gordon and Cling Bowyer had a fight after Gordon intentionally wrecked Bowyer.

Buffer will first be in Montreal on Saturday for UFC 154 at the Bell Center. He'll then go to Miami for his NASCAR job. UFC 154 will have a welterweight title unification bout between champion Georges St-Pierre and interim champion Carlos Condit. The main card will air on PPV at 10 PM ET after preliminary fights on Facebook (6 p.m.) and FX (8 p.m.).
