Tickets For UFC 156 Go On Sale Next Week

MMA Junkie reports that tickets for UFC 156: Aldo vs Edgar go on sale next week. The event takes place on February 2nd at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

The main event will see featherweight champion Jose Aldo (21-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) defend against former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar (14-3-1 MMA, 9-3-1 UFC). Other fights on the main card include Alistair Overeem (36-11 MMA, 1-0 UFC) vs Antonio Silva (17-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC), Rashad Evans (17-2-1 MMA, 12-2-1 UFC) vs Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (20-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC) and Jon Fitch (24-4-1 MMA, 14-2-1 UFC) vs Demian Maia (17-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC).

UFC President Dana White said: "Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar is a fight the fans have wanted to see for a long time and on Feb. 2, the superfight is going to happen. Our fights on Super Bowl weekend are always some of the biggest and best and this year will be no different."

Tickets range from $75 to $750 plus fees. They will be on sale starting Friday, November 30 at 3 PM ET. Members of UFC Fight Club can buy tickets on November 28 at 3 PM ET, and UFC.com e-newsletter subscribers can buy tickets Thursday, Nov. 29, at 3 PM ET.

The UFC has had a Las Vegas PPV event the night before the NFL Super Bowl every year since 2004. All but one have taken place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, a 12,000-seat venue on the Las Vegas Strip.
