Dana White Comments On The Success Of UFC 154
Posted by Joseph Lee on 11.27.2012

Dana White spoke with MMA Junkie about the success of UFC 154. He called the PPV's performance "awesome", but wouldn't provide an exact number.

He credited the return of welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and said that "the king of pay-per-view is back let's put it that way."

St-Pierre (23-2 MMA, 17-2 UFC) returned after nineteen months away to defeat interim champion Carlos Condit and retain his title a seventh time. The event took place on November 17 at the Bell Centre in Montreal. White said in the past that GSP was the promotion's top draw.

After his win, St-Pierre wouldn't confirm a superfight with middleweight champion Anderson Silva. He said he wanted to take a vacation and talk with his coaches before making a decision. White didn't have anything to add about his decision on the fight when asked.

St-Pierre, who was in the main event for UFC 129 (which was very successful), called Condit his toughest opponent yet. While the numbers haven't been verified, GSP is definitely the "PPV king". His past six fights have all had more than 700,000 buys.
