One FC and Glory Sports International Announce Fighter Exchange Deal
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 11.28.2012

One Fighting Championship and Glory Sports International announced today that they have agreed on a fighter exchange program. According to an official press release, the two fight promoters have entered into a mutually beneficial and exclusive partnership in Asia which will allow a talent sharing of their fighters on their respective rosters.

According to the exchange, any GSI MMA fighter will be eligible to compete exclusively in Asia under the One FC banner. Also any One FC fighter is automatically eligible to compete in GSI MMA events which are currently held under the DREAM brand in Japan. Fighter exchanges are reportedly expected to happen effective immediately.

One FC CEO Victor Cui stated on the new agreement: "It is an absolute pleasure to work with Glory Sports International. Our events will have even more exciting match-ups and the biggest winners are the fans of MMA around the world. ONE FC will continue to showcase the most exciting fights between the best fighters in Asia and having GSI as a partner will automatically create new opportunities for everyone involved and looking to associate with the fastest growing sport in the world."

Glory Sports International CEO Marcus Lauer stated: "GLORY Sports International and ONE Fighting Championship will cooperate to develop the sport of MMA in Asia - GSI through its DREAM brand in Japan and ONE FC with its events throughout Asia. We feel it is a mutually beneficial partnership and look forward to working with the ONE FC team."

GSI will next be presenting DREAM 18 and GLORY 4 in Tokyo on December 31 at the Saitama Super Arena. GLORY 4 is also set to feature a 16-man single-elimination tournament. The winner will be crowned the GLORY Grand Slam Heavyweight Champion and also receive a purse in the amount of $400,000.
