Colton Smith Says There's No Bad Blood Between Him and Mike Ricci
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 12.13.2012

Colton Smith recently spoke with MMAjunkie about his fight with Mike Ricci in the finals of The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale and more. Check out the highlights:

Joking about being an underdog: "A lot of my friends have gambling problems and told me I'm an underdog. But I like that. That's fine. I was the least experienced guy on the show, after all."

On his personal dynamic with Ricci: "There's no bad blood there even though as a person he's the polar opposite of me."

On Ricci's attitude: "Actually, he was like that from the first day. He acts almost privileged. He came from means growing up, and he likes to flaunt that. That's his thing. I could win a million dollars and be the same guy. … I don't do this for the fame or money. I do it for the challenge."

On fighters who can't make weight cuts: "It's like, what kind of dedication do you have? I do it the right way, so thats why I don't struggle with it...So I'll entertain 155. Why not? I walk around at 195, but I could make it. ... I'll go to 155 when the time is right."
