UPDATED x2: Melvin Guillard vs. Jamie Varner Pulled From Tonight’s Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale Card
Posted by Larry Csonka on 12.15.2012

UPDATE x2: On FUEL TV, Melvin Guillard was interviewed and said that Varner's corner has accused him of greasing after the rules meeting. He then said that 20-minutes later, he was informed that the fight was cancelled, and thought that something was funny about that. He was pissed that he had to cut 30-pounds to make weight and added that Varner will not get the chance to fight him again, and that Varner is a coward and that he has no respect for Varner as a fighter. When informed that the fight is being rescheduled for UFC 155 by Dana White, he said he would take the fight, but that the UFC better have replacements ready in case Varner backs out again.

UPDATE: According to Ariel Helwani, Dana White has stated that the current plan is to move Varner vs. Guillard to UFC 155 later this month.

ORIGINAL: Moments ago, Jay Glazer announced on FUEL TV that Melvin Guillard vs. Jamie Varner has been pulled from the FX portion of the Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale. According to the report, Varner has fallen ill, and the commission made the call to cancel the bout. More details on the story as they come.
