Megumi Fujii Announces Plans to Retire

Defeats Mei Yamaguchi in what will likely be her last fight…
According to mmajunkie.com, 38 year-old Megumi Fujii (26-2) defeated Mei Yamaguchi (10-6-1) via unanimous decision (20-18,20-18) today at Vale Tudo Japan 2012 in Tokyo. Before the fight, Fujii announced that she plans to retire from MMA by the end of the year. 19 of Fujii's victories came by way of submission, and her only two losses came when she fought for Bellator. Both losses were considered questionable, as she dropped decision losses to Zoila Gurgel (in a Season 3 tournament) and Jessica Aguilar (earlier this year at Bellator 69).
