One-Armed MMA Fighter Wants a Shot at the UFC

Nick Newell says he can pull it off...
An MMA fighter with one arm says he wants a shot at the UFC and believes he is capable of being competitive there. TMZ reports that Nick Newell, who is the reigning XFC lightweight champion and his missing most of his left arm below the elbow, is looking for a chance to compete but says that Dana White has reservations about his ability to compete.
Newell noted, "I've won by arm bar, rear naked choke, guillotine, heel hook, TKO and knockout. In 9 pro fights I have never been out struck. If you have followed this sport, or know anything about it, you would be able to see that I'm amongst its elite. Just because I'm not in the UFC doesn't mean I wouldn't beat most of the guys in there."
