UFC announced today on their official Twitter account that former Strikeforce welterweight Tyron Woodley will make his UFC debut at UFC 156 against Jay Hieron. Hieron was originally set to face Erick Silva who was injured and had to withdraw from the card. Hieron is coming off a loss to Jake Ellenberger at UFC on FX 5 which was his Octagon return. He currently has a UFC record of 0-3 and could face being cut with another loss. Woodley lost his bid for the vacant Strikeforce welterweight title against Nate Marquardt last July.
