See what she has to say…
- Invicta Promoter Shannon Knapp recently spoke about her role promoting women's MMA. Here are the highlights…
On Promoting MMA: "How could I be in the business and not be a fighter? Every time [others] push, I push back because that's my nature. I think that's what female athletes always needed – someone in there willing to roll up their sleeves and come out swinging and fight the fight for them."
On Giving Women Fighters a Chance: "The only thing that was ever missing for these girls was an opportunity, a platform that gave them the chance to showcase their skills," she said. "And let me tell you, they are grateful for this opportunity. They're hungry, they're excited, and they believe in what they're doing."
On Why You Should Watch Invicta: "A lot of people complain that they don't know a lot of names on the card," she said. "Trust me, if you do not know these female athletes right now, when you tune in [tonight], you're never going to forget them. I promise. Each and every one of them is very exciting and very passionate about being on this card."
