UFC 158 Tickets Go on Sale January 26, Press Conference Open to the Public
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 01.18.2013

UFC announced today that tickets for UFC 158: St-Pierre vs. Diaz will on sale on January 26. Additionally, UFC will be holding press conference to the event on January 23 in Montreal which will be free and open to the public. The card will see a UFC welterweight title fight with reigning champion Georges St-Pierre facing his rival and former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz. Also Rory MacDonald will get the chance to avenge a previous knockout loss against former UFC interim welterweight champion and WEC welterweight champion Carlos Condit. In a top contenders bout, Johny Hendricks faces Jake Ellenberg in a welterweight battle.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Saturday, January 26 at 12PM ET at evenko.ca and the Bell Centre box office. Tickets will be priced at $600, $350, $250, $200, $165, $115 and $85. Tickets will also be available by phone at (514) 790-2525 / 1-877-668-8269.

UFC Fight Club members will get the opportunity to purchase tickets to the event on Thursday, January 24 at 10AM ET on ufcfightclub.com. There will also be a special internet ticket pre-sale available to UFC newsletter subscribers on Friday, January 25 at 10AM ET. Users can access the pre-sale by registering for the UFC newsletter on UFC.com

The free UFC 158 press conference will be held at the Bell Centre, 1909 Avenue des Canadiens-de-Montréal, Montreal, Quebec. The press conference starts at 10AM, and Georges St-Pierre, Nick Diaz, and UFC Director of UFC Operations in Canada, Tom Wright will all be in attendance. Doors open to the public at 9:30AM.

Some fans might remember, it was Nick Diaz's absence for press conferences for his previously scheduled fight with Georges St-Pierre which sparked his removal from that fight. Ultimately GSP became injured and had to withdraw from fighting at UFC 137 and Nick Diaz instead faced BJ Penn in the main event. Diaz went to later compete for the interim title against Carlos Condit, a fight he losses. Diaz was subsequently suspended after he failed a drug test for marijuana metabolites which is still finishing up as of now.
