How did Bellator's Spike debut do?
Last night's season eight debut of Bellator averaged 938,000 viewers. The event, Bellator 85, was the promotion's debut on Spike TV and drew almost three times the rating of the promotion's previous record which was Bellator 44 and is miles ahead of the promotion's MTV2 average of 180,000 viewers.
The show peaked with a 0.7 rating and almost 1.2 million viewers for the fight between Pat Curran and Patricio Freire; the Michael Chandler vs. Rick Hawn title fight averaged 950,000 viewers.
