King Mo Lawal Talks About His Bellator Debut This Week
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 01.23.2013

MMAjunkie recently spoke with Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal who makes his Bellator MMA debut this week in a light heavyweight tournament quarterfinal fight with Przemyslaw Mysiala at Bellator 86 which will be broadcast live on Spike TV. Here are some highlights:

Mo on his caution in taking bumps in pro-wrestling training and how he doesn't mind taking his time making progression: "I'm not crazy. At this time, I'm not seasoned enough. I'm a coward.

His thoughts on fighting three fights in a short time span for the Bellator tournament: "I'm not worried about the time. I know I'll be smart."

Lawal on his unknown opponent Mysiala: "Just because no one knows who he is doesn't mean he's not tough. (Lyoto) Machida's first fight in the UFC was (Rameau Thierry) Sokodjou. No one knew who he was. No one knew who Mike Chandler was, and look at him. It doesn't matter who you are. It's what you're doing when people are watching you."
