Karl Amoussou Wants to Knock Out Ben Askren Tonight
Posted by Larry Csonka on 01.24.2013

- Karl Amoussou recently spoke about tonight's fight with Ben Askren. Here are the highlights…

On Askren's Gameplan: "What can Askren do to me, actually? But even if he manages to do it for one round, I'm going to kick his ass in the next. There are five rounds, and I'll be ready for five rounds."

On Finishing Askren: "I'm just going to finish the fight, as I'm used to doing," he said. "That's it. He's going to try to lay and pray, and he's not going to do it – he's only going to sleep."

On Why He Thinks He Will Finish Askren: "Everybody knows I'm stronger than him in the standup," he said. "I think people now know that I'm very dangerous on the ground and probably better than him. I like challenges, and I think beating him at his own game could really be a crazy thing for him – if I don't knock him out in the first 90 seconds. I really think I'll knock him out early in the fight. But if I don't knock him out so early, I'll really try to beat him at his own game."
