Hart liked to start crazy fights in school...
MMAjunkie recently spoke with TUF 17 contestant Collin Hart. Here are some highlights:
Hart on how he was local version of "Kimbo Slice" in Sebastopol, California:"I was pretty well known for it in my high school. I was always taking on two or three people at a time. To find challengers, I would have to make up something crazy like put one arm behind my back or take on multiple opponents. At the time, I guess I was pretty much the local Kimbo Slice."
Hart on his quick move to professional MMA after two amateur fights: "There was really no question or any second thought about it. That's what I've been wanting to do for a little while. I was excited to get the offer so fast. Some people had to train for years before a coach would let them fight. I was happy to jump on the opportunity."
Hart on why he loves MMA: "It's a lot of fun. I love the sporting aspect of the chess match. It's like working out, playing chess and skydiving at the same time. I've always been into it. I have the determination. I've put in the time. I have the heart. All I needed was the opportunity, and I have that now."
