Saad Award Replaces Patricky Freire At Bellator 87

Woodard-Rickles is likely the new main event...
MMA Junkie reports that a day before the event, Patricky "Pitbull" Freire (10-4 MMA, 3-3 BFC) has suffered an injury and Guillaume DeLorenzi (10-1 MMA, 1-0 BFC) will now fight Saad Awad (12-4 MMA, 0-1 BFC) in a Season 8 lightweight tournament fight at Bellator 87.
The co-headliner of Lloyd Woodard (12-2 MMA, 2-2 BFC) vs David Rickels (11-1 MMA, 5-1 BFC) is now the main event. Awad vs DeLorenzi will likely stay on the main card, which only has the first round of the Season 8 lightweight tournament. The event takes place at the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. The main card airs on Spike TV following prelims on Spike.com.
Awad's original opponent, Jason Fischer (5-1 MMA, 2-1 BFC) will now fight Sevak Magakian (12-3 MMA, 0-0 BFC) on the preliminary card.
