Alistair Overeem is reportedly poised to fight for the UFC heavyweight title with a win over Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva on Saturday at UFC 156.
UFC President Dana White confirmed the scenario during the UFC 156 media day. Overeem was previously set to fight then champion Junior dos Santos for the heavyweight title at UFC 146. However, Overeem failed a random drug test in which his testosterone levels were too high and he was suspended for nine months.
