Anthony Pettis Wants to Fight Jose Aldo
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 02.03.2013

At last night's post-fight press conference for UFC 156, Dana White revealed he received a text from a fighter who expressed that he wants to fight Jose Aldo. The fighter was in fact Anthony Pettis who expressed interest and willingness to move down to featherweight to fight Jose Aldo. On the UFC 156 post-fight show on Fuel TV, White stated, "Anthony Pettis just texted me and said he wants to move down to 145 and go against Jose Aldo."

Currently, Pettis is on a three fight winstreak and is likely the top contender in the lightweight division to the winner of the upcoming title fight between champion Ben Henderson and undefeated Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez. How this will pan out with the featherweight division with contenders such as Ricardo Lamas who has won his last four fights and the "Korean Zombie" Chang Sung Jung waiting in the wings remains.
