- According to mmajunkie.com, Dana White was really pleased with the performances by the imported Strikeforce fighters at UFC 156. Those results included the following…
* Isaac Vallie-Flagg (14-3-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) defeated Yves Edwards (42-19-1 UFC, 10-7 UFC) via split decision
* Bobby Green (20-5 MMA, 1-0 UFC) defeated Jacob Volkmann (15-4 MMA, 6-4 UFC) via submission
* Tyron Woodley (11-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) knocked out Jay Hieron (23-7 MMA, 0-4 UFC) in just 36 seconds
* Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva (18-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC) defeated Alistair Overeem (36-12 MMA, 1-1 UFC) via TKO
White added the following comments…
"I've been saying this a lot over the last couple weeks. Without getting into it, I felt bad about what's happened to those guys over there in the last year. Nothing I can do. But they hung in there, and they came in here and delivered. It was fun tonight. These guys came in from Strikeforce and they really did a great job tonight. I'm happy for them. Life is going to be a lot different for these guys now."
