- Marcos Galvao spoke about fighting friend and training partner Eduardo Dantas tonight. Here are the highlights…
On Fighting Dantas: "It won't be hard for me to fight Eduardo Dantas because this is a business. We are both hired by Bellator to put on a show inside the cage. Outside is something completely different. We are going for the finish."
On Their Relationship: "I helped train him when he was younger," Galvao said. "We've been friends for about five years now."
On Dantas as a Fighter: "Eduardo Dantas is very explosive and very unpredictable," Galvao said. "I know I have to be very well trained, and I am. But my experience is my advantage. I've trained and fought all over the world, and I'm very calm in my fights."
On Getting to Fight on Spike TV: "Fighting in front of so many on Spike TV is a dream come true," Galvao said. "I'm very honored to be given the opportunity. I want to show the world the real Marcos Galvao. I feel very underrated, and I know I deserve more respect than I get. It will mean a lot to become Bellator's bantamweight world champion. I will quiet a lot of critics who don't believe I'm the best bantamweight in the world. I know I am – I just have to prove it."
