Cyborg Santos to Face Ediane Gomes at Invicta FC 5

Santos is headed to Invicta...
Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos is on her way to Invicta FC. Tito Ortiz has confirmed that Santos will face Ediane Gomes at Invicta FC 5 on the main card of the show. Santos, who asked the UFC for a release from her contract earlier in the week, will take on the woman who was reportedly going to face Julia Budd in a #1 contender's bout on the card. Budd will now face Fiona Muxlow in the show.
Invicta FC president Shannon Knapp said in a press release, "We are thrilled to welcome Cris 'Cyborg,' arguably the top pound-for-pound female fighter in the world, to our rapidly growing roster of world-class athletes. Cris' incredible performances in front of national TV audiences over the last few years have helped put women's MMA on the radar of the masses and paved the way for others to establish themselves in the sport."
The show takes place April 5th at Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri.
