    Middleweight Bout: Lionel Lanham (185.1) vs. Joe Rodriguez (184.3)

    ROUND ONE: Rodriguez starts with a leg kick. Lanham returns fire and floors him! He pounces on his back and lays in the ground and pound. Rodriguez tries to recover but Lanham stays on him and pummels his way to a successful debut. Boom! Done.

    OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Lionel Lanham by TKO at 0:49 of round 1.

    Lightweight Bout: Dave Allred (155.9) vs. Sean Powers (154.6)

    ROUND ONE: Allred bull rushes Powers and takes him down against the cage. Powers gets his guard up. Powers goes for an armbar but Allred defends. Allred takes his back. Allred goes for a rear-naked choke. Powers defends, flips over and Allred now has full mount. Powers cage walks and reverses to top position. He lands a right and then lets Allred up. Powers lands some elbows, drops him with a knee and Powers pounces. He smashes Allred with a series of sharp elbows. Powers gets to full mount and Allred is in trouble. Nope, now Allred reverses position and takes his back. He looks for another rear-naked choke. Powers defends and they scramble. Allred tries for a guillotine. Powers is in half-guard as Allred attempts a Von Flue choke. Very close and entertaining round.

    SCORECARD: Powers 10-9

    ROUND TWO: Powers lands some straight punches. Allred shoots for a takedown. Allred once again achieves full mount. Allred goes on the attack but Powers reverses position. Powers works from half guard. Powers works for a D'arce Choke. Powers gets full mount now and Allred completely gives up his back. Powers launches a number of different attacks, working for submissions and alternating with strikes. Allred flips over again. Powers attempts an arm triangle from half guard. Allred defends and tries for a heel hook but loses it quickly. A strong, solid round for Powers.

    SCORECARD: Powers 10-9

    ROUND THREE: Body kick from Allred. Knee lift from Powers. Inside leg kick from Powers. Another knee to the body from Powers. Powers stuns him with another knee. Allred goes for a desperation shoot and Powers controls him from top postion. Powers takes his back again. Allred looks mentally beaten here. Powers looks to soften him up for a rear-naked choke. Allred taps! Elementary my dear Watson, elementary.

    OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Sean Powers by submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:10 of round 3.

    Welterweight Bout: Jesse Juarez (170.7) vs. Jordan Smith (169.3)

    ROUND ONE: Smith starts with a leg kick. Juarez kicks him back. Smith lands a hard punch. Smith comes forward and ends a combo with a head kick. They are slugging it out against the fence. Juarez lands a body kick. Smith presses forward and unloads on Juarez! Juarez gets a double leg and stops the onslaught. Smith gets back to his feet and continues to pummel Juarez. Juarez comes back but Smith smashes him and down he goes. Juarez gets back to his feet and stuns Smith. Smith goes down but as Juarez presses his advantage Smith attempts a guillotine. Juarez stands in guard, Smith stands up and Juarez takes him back down again. Juarez holds him down until the bell sounds.

    SCORECARD: Smith 10-9

    ROUND TWO: Smith comes out aggressively but Juarez quickly gets top position. Smith gives up his back. Smith is covering up, looking for a stand-up from the ref. Juarez moves towards an arm triangle. Juarez has it nice and tight! Smith remains composed and gets out of it! Smith gets to his feet but Juarez takes him back down again. Juarez ends the round on top again.

    SCORECARD: Juarez 10-9

    OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Jesse Juarez by split decision (30-27, 29-28, and 28-29).


    Catchweight Bout (137lbs): Chase Beebe (137.4) vs. Travis Marx (135.9)

    ROUND ONE: They immediately lock up and Marx tries for a takedown. They exchange knees in the clinch. Beebe hooks to the head. They clash and Marx backs away. The fighters are throwing a lot of strikes but are connecting with very little. Marx slips but Beebe doesn't press. Leg kick from Marx. Marx eats a punch coming in for a takedown. Marx presses him against the cage. Marx throws some punches and kicks, all of which are blocked. Beebe misses with a big right. Beebe gets a takedown but Marx gets back to his feet. More exchanges of strikes. Marx lands a superman punch and Beebe hits back with a series of strikes.

    SCORECARD: 10-9 Marx

    ROUND TWO: They start off the round trading back and forth. Marx attacks the body. Beebe lands a right uppercut. They tie up against the fence. Marx pushes him off. Marx lands a leg kick. Kick to the body from Marx. Beebe misses a pair of uppercuts. Marx gets a takedown. Beebe goes fora guillotine. Marx defends and gets to his feet. Marx ducks undre and tries to take Beebe down. Another body kick from Marx ends the round.

    SCORECARD: 10-9 Marx

    ROUND THREE: Marx lands a series of strikes on a very flat Chase Beebe. Counter right lands hard on Marx. Marx evades a flurry of power punches. Marx lands a short elbow. Beebe returns with a hard right hook. Beebe throws a nice counter right. Marx gets a takedown but Beebe goes right for the guillotine. Marx immediately defends and stands up. Right hand from Beebe stuns Marx. High kick exchange from both fighters. Beebe gets a takedown. With 10 seconds to go Marx stands up and that's all she wrote.

    SCORECARD: Beebe 10-9

    OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Travis Marx by unanimous decision (30-27X3).

    Welterweight Semifinal Bout: Raul Amaya (169.9) vs. Ben Saunders (170.3)

    ROUND ONE: Amaya lands a leg kick. Amaya rushes forward for a takedown. Saunders stays standing. Another kick from Amaya. They trade kicks. Amaya is throwing a lot of volume not most of it isn't landing. Saunders seem perplexed as to what to do with this guy. Amaya clubs Saunders who responds with knee. Another leg kick from Amaya. Saunders comes forward with a head kick that catches Amaya flush and HE IS OUT! That was all shin-to-noodle, good stuff!

    OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Ben Saunders by KTFO at 2:56 of round 1.

    MAIN CARD


    Light Heavyweight Semifinal Bout: Jacob Noe (205.3) vs. Mikhail Zayats (204.9)

    ROUND ONE: Noe jabs to start the round but Zayats clobbers him! Zayats pounces on him. He works from half guard. Noe hangs on to him, looking for a stand up. Zayats hammers on his torso. Zayats content to deliver short punches. Noe gives up the mount and Zayats hammers him about the face. Noe attempts to jerk out but Zayats grabs his arm and taps him out. Zayats is in the finals!

    OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Mikhail Zayats by submission (arm bar) at 3:38 of round 1.


    Welterweight Semifinal Bout: Bryan Baker (170.5) vs. Douglas Lima (170.9)

    ROUND ONE: Baker circles on the outside. Lima lands a leg kick. Another kick from Lima. Baker is very hesitant to engage. Lima kicks again. Baker throws a double jab but Lima kicks him again. Lima finally launches a devastating overhand right and BOOM, Baker is out! Douglas Lima moves on to the finals. This is my kind of night!

    OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Douglas Lima by TKO at 2:31 of round 1.


    Light Heavyweight Semifinal Bout: Muhammed Lawal (204.3) vs. Emanuel Newton (204.8)

    ROUND ONE: I would like to point out that Newton walked out to a song off the new Hatebreed album #TIMETOMURDERIT. Now then, the fighters trade in the center of the cage. Newton jabs. Newton is throw a lot of quick jabs. Big hook from Mo. Head kick from Newton. Mo responds with a quick combo. Newton is scoring due to his quickness. Mo rushes in and is caught. Mo steps in and OH MY GOD!!! Spinning back fist just FUCKING KO'ED KING MO! HARDCORE FOR LIFE!!! Another candidate for KO of the year!

    OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Emanuel Newton by KTFO at 2:35 of round 1.

    Season 7 Featherweight Tournament Final Bout: Rad Martinez (145.9) vs. Shahbulat Shamhalaev (146)

    ROUND ONE: Lots of feigning to start off with. Leg kick from the Russian. Another leg kick. Shamhalaev catches a kick and blasts Martinez. He doesn't pounce on him and allows him to recover. Martinez lands an overhand left. Back to the leg kicks from Shamhalaev. Martinez shoots for the single leg. He takes the Russian down. Shamhalaev blocks the Martinez's offense as they ride out the round.

    SCORECARD: Shamhalaev 10-9

    ROUND TWO: Leg kick from Shamhalaev. Head kick floors Martinez and he is rocked. Shamhalaev goes on the attack and delivers one more KO blow! Martinez falls back like a tree! Ron Simmons, what are your thoughts on this whole affair?



    OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Shahbulat Shamhalaev by KO at 2:12 of round 2.
