Brian Stann Done With 205 After This Weekend’s Fight
Posted by Larry Csonka on 02.28.2013

- Brian Stann and Wanderlei Silva spoke about fighting at 205. Here are the highlights…

Brian Stann on Not Staying at 205: "One and done. I'm a middleweight fighter. I could compete at light heavyweight, but if I want to be top-10 and compete for the title, it needs to be at middleweight. With my style and the ways that I've had difficulties in my career with people neutralizing me, it benefits me to be the bigger, stronger individual when people are trying to neutralize me against the cage and on the ground."

Wanderlei Silva on Staying at 205: "It feels good. I only need to lose about five or six pounds. When you go to 185, the last 10 pounds are tough. From 195 to 185 is too hard. Sometimes you'll be sad, and you start to kick the dog. You're mad at home. To save my marriage, I will fight at 205."
