He thinks he could go until he's 55...
In an interview with MMA Junkie, Legacy FC welterweight champion Jorge Patino (24-13) says he was inspired by the recent announcement that David "Tank" Abbott will return to MMA at the age of 47.
Patino will defend his title against Derrick Krantz (14-6) at Legacy FC 18, which takes place at the Arena Theatre in Houston. The main card will air live on AXS Tv.
On getting older: "When you get old, it's more difficult to recover, more difficult to learn. I have to take care of my family, my wife, my students, and still train to defend my title. It's very hard."
On Krantz: "He does everything: standup, ground, and he comes forward. It's a very big challenge to me, and I really appreciate that he accepted the fight."
On how much longer he can go: "I'm still 100 percent ready to defend my title. I like my job too much."
