His first fight is in April...
MMA Junkie reports that Korean promotion ROAD FC has signed former DREAM and Shooto champion Joachim "Hellboy" Hansen (22-11-1). He is expected to debut at ROAD FC 011 on April 13 in Seoul.
Hansen is known for his 25-fight fun in Japan where he beat names like Shinya Aoki, Gesias "JZ" Cavalcante, Yves Edwards, Takanori Gomi, Masakazu Imanari, Rumina Sato and Caol Uno. The July 2008 win over Aoki was the highlight of his career so far, as he won the DREAM lightweight title. Aoki would win the belt back in an October 2009 rematch. Hansen would then drop to 145 pounds where he lost back-to-back fights to Hiroyuki Takaya and Bibiano Fernandes.
He also won the Shooto welterweight title early in his career with a 2003 decision win over Gomi. He would lose it by submission later that year to Vitor "Shaolin" Ribeiro. He is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt who has also begun competing as a kickboxer. He currently has three wins in his past four fights. His first opponent at ROAD FC is expected to be announced shortly.
