On Doug Marshall: "Marshall is very aggressive, and he punches really hard, but I think I will be able to control the pace of the fight and where the fight will go with my wrestling."
On Marshall's Recent Comments About Finishing The Fight With a KO: "Doug Marshall can say anything he wants to before our fight if it makes him feel better," Aliev said. "I don't do it, and I don't care if he does it. I just hope he's ready."
On Tournament Fighting: "This tournament is what all my hard work over the years have been leading to," he said. "But this tournament is not my top goal. I want to become not just a tournament winner, but a champion. Winning would let me know that the years I devoted to sport are not lost years," he said. "My family and friends will be very happy for me."
