Brown was victorious at UFC Fight Night 26...
UFC welterweight fighter Matt Brown spoke about his win over Mike Pyle at the post-fight press conference for UFC Fight Night 26. Brown won the fight by knockout in the first round and was awarded with Knockout of the Night. Brown also addressed how his ultimate goal in the sport is to fight and beat UFC welterweight champion George St-Pierre. Below are some highlights:
Brown on what is next for him: "I'll fight whoever they want me to, man. Obviously, I'm only in this sport for one thing, and that's to beat GSP's ass."
Brown on how Mike Pyle would beat him up when they trained together: "Mike Pyle beat me up in training. The guy in the gym is one of the best guys in the world. That's how it is, man. Mike Pyle really is one of the best fighters in the world. He just doesn't always put it together in the ring. I just came in to whoop his ass. I knew it was going to be me or him."
Brown on where the fight puts him after winning six in a row: "Hopefully it put me somewhere in a good position to get some big fights. I know in this sport you get what you earn, not what you deserve. Hopefully I earned something good here."
