Many different countries...
MMA Junkie reports that the UFC has revealed part of its 2014 international event schedule, which will include stops in a few new countries. UFC Executive Garry Cook, who is a vice president and managing director for Europe and other regions, revealed the six countries. Four have been visited before (England, Sweden, Ireland and Germany) while two are new (Poland and Turkey).
Cook did not reveal the dates or any other details. He did, however, help reveal the UFC and EA Sports' upcoming video game EA Sports UFC at Gamescom in Cologne.
England and Sweden have had regular shows recently, but the UFC hasn't been in Ireland since UFC 93 in 2009. After Irish featherweight beat Max Holloway at UFC Fight Night 26, UFC President Dana White said they will be holding a show in Dublin. After political and media backlash in Germany during two events in 2009 and 2010, the promotion stopped going there, but Cook said they would return next year.
UFC have mentioned Poland and Turkey as new potential markets, but no plans were announced until today.
